Bellamy Run

Overview: Was claimed by Joe Sharp for Mike Pendino on March 5, 2016 for a Triple B Racing Partnership.

After running 3rd at Oaklawn Park and 4th at Keeneland, the horse is head to Canterbury Park for the summer.

UPDATE:    Bellamy Run wins and is claimed!  We wish the best of luck to his new owners.

Overview:  Purchased privately in the fall of 2015 from the estate of Stanley Mankin.  Hidden Key has won three races combined at Hawthorne and Delta Downs since. 

Hidden Key runs for the partnership of Paul Meshke and Kevin Lay and is trained by Joel Berndt.

UPDATE:  Hidden Key ran a great 2nd on 6/25 at Canterbury Park.

Overview:  Yeomansescape ("aka Yo Man") was purchased privately from Illinois-based trainer John Haran.  As a Mn-Bred, the partnership is excited to run for the lucrative local purses this summer.

Yoemansescape will be racing for the partnership of Berndt Racing, Charlene Gabler, Grace Hazzard and Kevin Lay.

UPDATE:  Yeomansescape is training well but not finishing well in first two local starts.  He is entered this week and we hope the "third time is the charm"!

Overview:  Sky Wonder was recently claimed at Churchill Downs and shipped to Canterbury Park and is now trained by Joe Sharp.

Sky Wonder races for Dmytri Pendino, Triple B Stables, Kovalchuk Racing, BCMC Stables and Charlene Gabler.

UPDATE:  Sky Wonder ran a solid 3rd in local bow.  With a cleaner trip he should be right there for the win next out!

Undone Sweater

Overview:  Purchased in a package with Art Official from Pete Parra's Legacy Ranch in March, Undone Sweater was shipped to Will Rogers Downs where she broke her maiden impressively at the $15,000 claiming tag.  Next, she ran a credible 4th in a NW2L Allowance before shipping to Canterbury Park and transferred to Tim Padilla for the summer.

Undone Sweater will be racing for the partnership of Triple B Stables, Dan Kjorsvik, Dmytri Pendino and Young Gun Thoroughbreds, LLC.  Triple B Partners include Frank Mosca.

UPDATE:  On June 1, Peter Bantle's Young Gun Stables purchased their partners 70% interest and will campaign the filly at same venue and with same trainer.  Best of luck to the new partnership!  Just like that - Undone was claimed in their first start by Harvey Berg.

Shugie

Overview:  Shugie was also recently purchased privately from his owner/trainer Steve Asmussen on May 4, and shipped to Canterbury Park to the shedrow of Nevada Litfin to be trained and race for her new connections.

Shugie races for the Partnership of Triple B Stables and Young Gun Thoroughbreds, LLC.  Triple B Partners include Frank Mosca.

UPDATE:  Shugie has been sold to Ian Roberts and Kelly Plitz for a new career outside of the racetrack.  Best of luck to the new owners!

Art Official

Overview: Art Official was recently purchased from Legacy Ranch, his breeder, and after a short month of prep races at Will Rogers Downs under the care of J. Alan Williams, has been in training for his new partners at Canterbury Park for the 2014 race meet.  This four-year-old  gelding is by Unusual Heat, a top-class turf sire, which appears to be where his best aptitude lies, though his form indicates ability on both conventional dirt and poly-track. 

Art Official will be racing for the partnership of Triple B Stables and Dan Kjorsvik.  Triple B Partners include Galen Willis, Mead Mueller, Gudrun Mirick, Dave Wubbena and Frank Mosca.

UPDATE:    On September 20, Art Official was claimed in a 7th place finish at Thistledown.  Thanks to all of the partners for joining in the fun.  Two trips to the winner's circle and nearly $20K in earnings has to be viewed as a success.

Beat Your Bluff

Overview:  Beat Your Bluff was purchased privately following his April 25th fifth-place finish by Bernell Rhone, Canterbury Park Hall of Fame trainer and returned to a surface he is all too familiar with.  In 2013, under the handling of the aforementioned conditioner, Beat Your Bluff, earned more than $33K, much of which was earned in the summer at Canterbury Park as he hit the board in all five of his local starts, winning twice on the turf course, arguably his best surface.  The 9 year-old was bred in Florida by Barbara Rehbein and is by the useful sire, Pine Bluff.

Beat Your Bluff will be racing for the partnership of Triple B Stables, Henson Racing, LLC and Young Gun Thoroughbreds, LLC.  Triple B partners include Frank Mosca and Charlene Gabler.

UPDATE:  On October 24, Art Official was claimed in a 6th place finish at Thistledown.  Thanks to all of the partners for joining in the fun.  A trip to the winner's circle and more than $20K in earnings has to be viewed as a success for the group.
